When a subscription charge can be refunded, and how customer booking refunds work.
Rentchee is billed in advance, either monthly or annually, from the date your paid plan begins. A charge is taken on the same day each cycle. Annual plans are billed once for the full year.
Every plan starts with a free trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, nothing is charged. If you stay on the platform, the first paid charge is taken when the trial ends.
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancelling stops future charges; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Your first paid month (or year) can be refunded in full if you ask within 7 days of being charged and have not already requested a refund for a previous subscription. After that window, charges are non-refundable and unused time is not refunded pro rata, since the subscription gives you full access for the whole period you chose.
If a scheduled payment fails, we retry and notify you. Access is suspended after the grace period set out in the Tenant Agreement, and the account is cancelled if the balance stays unpaid. Reinstating a cancelled account does not refund the lapsed time.
Rentchee does not process or hold your customers’ payments. Deposits, rentals and damage holds are charged through the payment gateway you connect to your own account, under that gateway’s refund rules. Refunds for a customer booking are issued by you, from your own gateway account.
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under applicable Canadian consumer protection law.
